  • Functional design and Tanzanian influences are at the heart of Qäsa Qäsa Carvers, both of which come to the fore with these serving scoops. Each one is crafted from locally sourced African blackwood and highlights the wood-carving skills established by the Makonde tribe, where a free-hand technique produces naturally smooth results. They all have their uses – you can use the Jikoni spoon for dried foods, the Zanzibar for preserves, the pantry scoop for flour and grains, and the handled spoon for serving. As for the largest, that’s inspired by the Japanese ‘shamoji’ and is a wonderful tool for rice.
